Passage of the Day - Revelation 21:1-8

Revelation 21:1-8

(New International Version)

A New Heaven and a New Earth
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

    -- the Kingdom of God...

We, who are here...who are running the race...this is the Kingdom that God had prepared for us. It's good to know how wonderful and beautiful that new heaven and new earth that awaits us.

Reflecting on the passage, it speaks about what's gonna happen in the after-life here on earth.. I mean, here in this world where we are living now. The beauty of knowing how good it is to have the life where no one needs to suffer anymore. :)

And oh, the beauty of Knowing that now is not forever yet ♥

indeed...isn't it a great motivation for us who are here right now that there will be this new heaven and new earth that awaits us?

our suffering here on earth today will be rewarded soon...as we run the race...let us keep the faith. 2Tim 4

3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

-- right now, our perception is that...God is in the heaven...but on this new heaven and new earth...He dwells among His people.
All people on this time will always worship and praise His name. =)

And.. And.. To hear God saying "it is done..." there will be no replays.. No chances of changing what has been done. So isn't it good to do the right thing while we are still in this ending world? To be able to face God when that time comes, excited to be with Him forever..

so let's run the race and finish it. :)

Well, that's all i could share about my thoughts and reflections tonight. Thanks everyone! Let's all be filled with the thrill of having to live the REAL life together with the One Above.

This will be my favorite phrase from now on:

A friend once told me that we can summarize the Book of Revelation in just two words and that is "Jesus wins!"
Have a good day everyone :)
