Galatians 6:1-6
(New International Version)
Doing Good to All
1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. 4 Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, 5 for each one should carry their own load. 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.

ReplyDeletev.1&2 - as for me...i think of it as part of loving a person...to take care of each other...lifting up, encouraging the other person.
Hans Jason
v.3 - can you share me an example for this? :)
Christine Carla
V.1-2 for me is greater than that. I mean the act or responsibility that it says. Coz it says if someone is caught in a sin. It is not always easy to act on that, especially if you don't really know the person, or same applies with persons whom we know for long time. By doing so, correcting the wrong, there may be some tendencies that we ourselves would be swayed as well so it is quoted to that we should take care of ourselves and be watchful enough of what we are doing.
Sometimes, it is also hard to correct someone or act upon what you've noticed to be wrong he/she is doing coz we fear that we might be misunderstood, right? We fear that by doing so, this person would not be our friend or would think of excluding us in their lives, worst case scenario.
Hans Jason
yip...sometimes...the act of correcting someone...might get us in trouble too... almost all the time, when we correct some wrongdoings...it's only to our close friends...or classmates...but to strangers...it is hard
we might even get a cold treatment...or something like..."it's none of your business!" :))
Christine Carla
V.3 and 4 as i understand it, goes together. An example of v.3 is myself at some point. I knew i have been as such but i'm not sure of what the details are anymore, but i do remember myself as being like that :))
--- telling us in v.4 that each one should judge his own conduct and not comparing oneself to others knowing just in ourselves what we should be proud of :)
Hans Jason
3&4 are somewhat related right?
Christine Carla
On what i was trying to say, yes.
Hans Jason
i mean 3,4,5 =)
yip...sometimes, we fall into it... :))
Christine Carla
Ah yes! :)
Hans Jason
6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
-- who could be that instructor?
Christine Carla
Anyone. Our parents, family, friends or even strangers. Everyone can teach us something and i do believe everyone surrounding us teaches us something and we learn from them.
Hans Jason
we could be the instructors too...i think each one of us do...
right...everyone teaches us something...and we learn from anyone.
and we always do ask guidance from people who have learned more of Him...like we did last night :D
Christine Carla
:)
Yep. True!
Hans Jason
-we have to humble ourselves in every way...
in learning, in correcting other people (cuz all the time, we too needs corrections :D )...be humble in every way, acknowledging also that we are like the other people...
Christine Carla
Yes. That's what it means when it is said here to be watchful with our actions.
Hans Jason
:) thank You Lord for this reminder to us.
Christine Carla
Amen. ♥
Hans Jason
that maybe what i can share for now... :) ♥
