Psalm 55:16-23

16 As for me, I call to God,
and the LORD saves me.
17 Evening, morning and noon
I cry out in distress,
and he hears my voice.
18 He rescues me unharmed
from the battle waged against me,
even though many oppose me.
19 God, who is enthroned from of old,
who does not change—
he will hear them and humble them,
because they have no fear of God.

ReplyDeleteAs i read the whole chapter in the book of Psalms, i'm hearing myself singing the song 'Cast thy burden' in my mind.

if someone is faithful, humble and someone who fears God...He will always be there for you...ready to help and hear you when you call unto Him.
- cast your cares/burdens/problems to Him... and trust Him. :)

The whole chapter speaks about a man betrayed by a friend.
Ever been batrayed by a friend? Well me, many times. :)
But, knowing how to call upon Him will make everything so easy. I remember myself having so much hate in my heart before bcoz of someone who betrayed me. I carried the hate for years and it was really hard. I thoughtit would be best to keep it that way and not offer thehate to Him, but when i finally humbled myself enough to offer it to God, and trust Him, healing took place :)

- i had been with these emotions too...a lot of times on the receiving end...and it isn't nice...
it's only the Lord, our refuge on those times.

True. Well, it's a challenging life, a challenging world. It's more challenging to those who know and follow Christ or has the desire to follow Him. Just the thought of that would make us understand more on why there are people who will continually shake us and push us to our limits, remiding us that, yes, most of the time He is the ONLY ONE there :)
