Galatians 6:7-10
(New International Version)

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

God knows who we are...He knows what is on our mind and heart...do you think we can still fool Him about anything?

whatever we sow...is what we reap...
but if we sow for Him...we reap everything that is good...and pleasing to everyone...and more graces also from Him...and that includes, being with Him through eternity.

Last night when i've read the following verses, i suddenly remembered my papeng (my dad), coz he's the one who've taught me this reading. I can still clearly hear his voice in my mind when he said, "a man reaps exactly what he plants..."

let us not become weary in doing good...to all people.

and why there is this? ..."especially to those who belong to the family of believers."

    Christine Carla
Yes. And again and again i would love to hear this teaching. Because we should always be reminded by this.
True, when we plant/invest on something, we do look forward on what we will be getting after, the rewards in that matter. When we sow for God then heavenly blessings should be with us. :)

And this one too: if we plant hatred in our hearts, we will reap hatred too. When we plant anger, we will gain anger too. But when we plant love, well of course, we will reap the fruit of love as well. :)

Hmmm, this passage goes with our jobs now too :))

    - true! and kinda cool eh. that's nice!

    hmmm...why with our jobs? :D

    Christine Carla
To answer the question --- hmmm, i think it is because our family in faith are the ones who can strongly be with us in the battle against evil. If we do good to each other then the forces to fight against the enemy would be stronger! Agree?

    i agree.
they are the ones who can understand us, as well.

    Christine Carla
    Yep!

Hmm with our jobs -- because like me, i find it hard and too tiring, but i am investing so much for it because even if it does affects me a lot, physically and emotionally, i know that i will reap the learnings on how to work with different kinds of people and would reap the strength on working in a field as stressful as that. :) and that goes with your job as well, isn't it?

    Hans Jason
    :) aight...yip! :D hehe

    Christine Carla
Ooohh. This learning is too good, i'm more motivated to work now! Lol

-there will be times...when we stop doing good to some people because of some circumstances... it's just a reminder for us not to...for at the proper time, we reap also.
when i was teaching...there are times that...i want to give up on those kids...but...a loud voice rings always on my mind...not to give up...even if i almost blow-up with some kids behaviors...after all is said and done...those kids still show me that they loved me...

    Hans Jason
    hehe :D
    we should be!

    Christine Carla
    Yep, true.
Well, for me, i am personally a quitter most of the time. Even when i was in high school, i often give up on things because it's too much for me to handle, but one lesson i learned -- when you give up, you'll not know what you will be missing. It's like, you haven't seen the ending yet, then you will already give up? But yeah, it's just so hard sometimes though :(

    Hans Jason
    yup...i agree...
there are times...when we get into that crossroad because it is already hard or too much to bear.

    Yeah...

    Hans Jason
so what do we reap when we quit?

    Christine Carla
I'm not sure, but i think the 'unknown', or just nothing. Regrets? Maybe.

    Hans Jason
    i dunno too...
but one thing we know of...
"all things work together for good..."

    Christine Carla
    ...to those who love Him.

    Hans Jason
...who have been called according to His purpose.

    Christine Carla
Well, i've been thinking a lot, and something suddenly made me sad. But i should be alright. I might think about it more and by doing so i will feel a lot better.

Thanks for the sharing tonight. :)
    Thank You God!

    Hans Jason
    :) ok

    thanks too.
    TYL!

  3. I love this verse. It might be strange but it is one of my favorites and it is so true. Let's start to sow to the Spirit. God is not mocked definitely, He does not everything about us. Things that we do not know, he knows. That's why sometimes He give us dreams about our spiritual state which tells us how we are, but not all dreams are from God. We better be careful. God like to warn us beforehand. I love God.

People say the most horrible things about God, they think God can be mocked . OK God's judgement is at hand, Jesus gonna give us according to our deeds, if they are good a bet that He's gonna give us great gifts otherwise we gonna pay.
