Elisha Traps Blinded Arameans

8 Now the king of Aram was at war with Israel. After conferring with his officers, he said, “I will set up my camp in such and such a place.”
9 The man of God sent word to the king of Israel: “Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there.” 10 So the king of Israel checked on the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places.

11 This enraged the king of Aram. He summoned his officers and demanded of them, “Will you not tell me which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?”

12 “None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers, “but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.”

13 “Go, find out where he is,” the king ordered, “so I can send men and capture him.” The report came back: “He is in Dothan.” 14 Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city.

15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh, my lord, what shall we do?” the servant asked.

16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

17 And Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

In my own reflection about the passage, this certain happening can also happen and is happening in our daily lives. Maybe not in the same scenario or situation but in facing the battles in our everyday lives. Often times we are left off guard and we donnot know what's gonna happen. There are times that there are certain people who are planning or plotting some things to let us down, to make us suffer, and even lose our faith. But it is also said, like what Elisha has said in this passage, If God is with us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8.28-31)

It is also written in Psalms 91.11 -- God will put His angels in charge of you to protect you whwerever you go. ♥

As i was reading to that passage above...

In our lives we may be in the same situation like this, whether we could be the Arameans (Syrians) or the Israelites.
There are times where we see a situation from other people who gets to be like the Arameans too. Getting "cocky" on some things for other people. Plotting mischievous things. They let their guards down because they think "they're mightier" than the other. Not knowing who they are against with.
We could be like the Israelites, "minamaliit" (belittled)... but if God is for us...no matter how big or small the situation may be...no one can stand against Him.

:) so there you go.. If we are with God and God lives in us nothing or no one can ever let us down.. Well yeah, we can fall.. We struggle as if we cannot make it anymore, feeling that we can no longer stand tall.. But we will always, ALWAYS, have the strength to rise up and win. ♥

rise up and win...that's what His children are for.

    Amen.

That is all i can share for now. Hope everyone had a chance to read and reflect on this too. Let us always keep in mind God's words.. Because with Him we can face it all. To God be the glory!

Cheers! Have a blessed day everyone :)
