Passage of the Day - Philippians 4:1-7

Philippians 4:1-7

(New Living Translation)

1 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work.
Words of Encouragement
2 Now I appeal to Euodia and Syntyche. Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement. 3 And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.
4 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

  1. This passage slapped me! For some reason, i haven't been able to reflect and study this one, and for that i feel bad.. I've been so negative lately and i didn't even know that Jason posted this one. I needed this. I needed His words of reminding me not to worry and to always be full of joy in the Lord (v.4). I cannot deny the fact that i find it hard often times.. It is. But, on my own experience, i would say that practice is really a good thing. V.5 says, let everyone see that you are considerate in everything you do, and yet, often times i am not able to do so. But yeah, it takes time and a lot of practice.. Well, i can say that i am improving now which is a good thing, unlike before that all the 'nega' feelings and thoughts would be inside me for days! Now, it's changing and i know He is working on me. Praying and offering Him all, i mean ALL, and thanking Him for everything that is happening (v.6) -- this practice can really give us peace, and peace in Christ Jesus will guard our hearts and minds (v.7).

    Thank You Father.
