Passage of the Day: Galatians 5:22-26

Galatians 5:22-26

(New International Version)

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

The Holy Spirit bears all these fruits.. If we would let the Holy Spirit direct our lives, man would be far from sinful deeds and desires.

these fruits were only seen in one MAN-GOD... He best exemplified a being who has all these.

reading more...the verses before these... those are the fruits opposite to these fruit of the Spirit.

16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. -- for me, to those of us who've chosen to belong to Jesus are together with Him on the cross. Setting aside our human nature.. And since we chose that, we are united with the Holy Spirit as well.. So we can bear all these fruits like Jesus.

that's why...when we chose to be baptized...
we leave our sinful nature... we REPENT...

turn our backs "from" our old selves...and embrace the life with Jesus.

Yes, but human as we are we tend to forget.. Worst we tend to let go and go with the flow of this sinful world. Yet, there is Our God who loves us unconditionally. We, as His followers should always strive to embrace the life with Jesus because by that, even here on earth we could experience His Kingdom. Yes, chaotic is this world i should say.. But life with God is just far too different. :)

    true with that...
just because of His grace...we could be doing the same mistakes/sins we had before... but NO...instead...we have to avoid doing those anymore...as our act of worship to Him...living our lives as a living sacrifice to Him

    Amen. :)

As they say, 'happiness is a choice'..
So let's choose to be happy,
    Let's choose to follow Christ..
Let's choose to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit,
Coz the Holy Spirit has it ALL. ♥
