Passage of the Day: 1 Corinthians 2:1-9

1 Corinthians 2:1-9

(New Living Translation)

Paul’s Message of Wisdom

1 When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan. 2 For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the One who was crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. 5 I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

6 Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten. 7 No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—His plan that was previously hidden, even though He made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. 8 But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. 9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love Him.”

apostle Paul here on his own accounts of wisdom...like all of us who are afraid to speak infront of people... if we ought to share who God is...we must not rely on our own knowledge...but rather, ask for His Holy Spirit's guidance and wisdom...so that we may understand Him...and others also will understand Him.
it will be WHO is with us in our life...

It took me, 5 times to read the passage again and again, trying to understand and reflext on it..

Then it finally came to my senses.. What He wanted to tell me by this.

Reflecting on my this, i could say that i have been a witness on what v.9 has to say. What's ahead is always a mystery.. Itreminds us how mysterious Our God is, how He wants us to seek Him so that even though we cannot see what is ahead, still, having our faith in Him could make us see that He has prepared something for us to discover.

The trials in our lives, all the hardships, the heart breaks.. Everything is unseen before hand.. If it is, then will we learn? Will we know that we need Him? Will we trust in Him? For this, i believe that it is always good to know that what's ahead is remained unseen. Giving us the thrill, as His followers that loves Him, that whatever it might be.. God knows best and His will be done.. This includes the eternal life afterdeath here on earth.

Yes, that's true. I was also reflecting on how Apostle Paul is teaching us how he lets the Holy Spirit to work on the teachings and lessons that He has to say.. Never relying on human wisdom but on the wisdom of God..

yes...it's always been a mystery...cuz if we did know...what value will trusting in Him do?

    Christine Carla
That's alright Mari.. Don't stress about this too much dear.
Give yourself time to relax and just be with Him in your own chosen time. Takecare

this is also the reason why... alot of ministers administering to us...pray for wisdom first...

    Christine Carla
Yes, exactly. Because i believe that one needs the wisdom from above.

That's all i could share for now.

Thanks so much for the message tonight Lord.

    Hans Jason

  3. I love it. I don't agree with ppl who like to argue the word of God. They use arguments, most time worldly wisdom to support their faith and beliefs. They want to impress people who do not believe in God. They don't think about Jesus, his sacrifice and love. We must pray instead. If the unbelievers have doubt, for sure they should answer. But arguing with antsiest does not help. I think so. What do you think? I wan to hear your opinion.

    I LOVE YOU
    I LOVE YOU
    I LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH
Christine is really working hard. Today I was talking to a friend of mine who is Chinese, she told me she can't read the Bible even in Chinese.
I understand you. Once you start reading Christian books you will understand it.

I learned with Rebecca Brown what this verse 9 talks about the heaven. Our reward in in heaven where we will receive according to our works. In this world will gonna be tested and retested. The battle never ends. We should take our cross in order to save people. That's our calling.

He says that the rules of this world don't understand this wisdom. Most of them ( in the past and present) don't believe in resurrection. People believe that they will die, and it is the end. This wisdom is misunderstood. We will live in heaven with God. We have not seen yet our reward it is bigger than we thought. As Christine said this life is a life of trials. God will test our faith as gold is tested on fire. We should take our cross. We have to learn more. I am telling, if we sin we will be unable to understand this wisdom. I love you guys. This one was good . I may post this verse on Tumblr.
